Traditional Art / Sculpture / Abstract

Another abstract sculpture constructed from 1/4-inch plate aluminum, copper and brass. Mounted to a 1-inch thick Purpleheart placard.

16" X 16"

Sculpture in picture is rotated 70 degrees clockwise from originally intended orientation, but I kind of like it at this angle.

Very clean and well balanced design, I really like it! It would fit well as a piece in a art collection from the Star Trek universe...

I'm an amateur student of "Futurism" and a bit of a self-taught SF scholar in print, film and art, (And yes, despite all that somehow stupid enough to miss the similarities between Star Trek and some of my other designs.) so I'm certain that my work is heavily influenced by Futurism, as well as Art Deco and Googie architecture. I'd also throw in Alexander Calder, Yves Tanguy and Richard A. Powers.
